Buenos Aires

The Penitentiary Service of the Province of Buenos Aires (SPB: Servicio Penitenciario de la Provincia de Buenos Aires), accounts for just over 40% of persons imprisoned in all of Argentina.

Within this 40%, 60% of prisoners were detained for crimes related to banned substances.
