URBAN PLANNING OF ARGENTINA |

The life and history of urban cities and its evolutions.

| Introduction

  • Argentina is one of the most urbanized countries with 92% of population living in the urban areas. As per the UN Habitat, around 47.6% of the country’s population is concentrated in only 8 agglomerations with many of the Metropolitan areas of urban cities like Buenos Aires, Rosario, Cordoba etc.… Due to poor planning, urban growth was disorganized and lead to urban sprawl, low density and often lack of infrastructure.  Around 12.000.000 people live in vulnerable areas.

  • Metropolitan plans are significant for many things in which they gather proof of the status of the conversation on urban communities. The method by which urban areas have created an insufficient mobility scheme, firm irregularities with respect to land access, and an efficient framework that has impacts affecting the regular assets. Although the results influence the whole population, they do influence more grounded those that are the most in need.
